Online English and math tutors

Who we would like to hear from

• Experienced English or math tutors
• University students with strong subject knowledge who love teaching children

What the work involves

• Lead online English or math sessions for children ages 5–12.
• Prepare activities that respond to each child’s skills, goals, and learning needs.
• Share progress and practical next steps with parents.
• Maintain a welcoming, respectful online learning environment.

Pay and availability

The starting rate is $20 per hour. Assigned lesson preparation and parent updates are paid work. We are especially interested in availability on weekdays from 3:30–7:30 p.m. Pacific and weekends from 10 a.m.–3 p.m. Pacific. Specific hours and scheduling are agreed before work begins.

Selection and safeguarding

Applicants should be comfortable communicating with families and supporting children with different learning needs. We welcome relevant teaching experience, tutoring experience, or university study with strong subject knowledge. References and a criminal record check appropriate for working with children are required before a tutor teaches any student. We will explain the screening process to applicants during selection.
